Remote fuel door not opening

I am new to this forum. i have a 1990 300zx TT. Right hand drive.

The remote for the fuel door does not open. I had to use a thin piece of metal to open it.

I am assuming the cable might have stretched. is there a way to adjust the length of the cable?

Welcome! Is your RHD in the US or are you somewhere else in the world?

I'd do a little extra searching, my quick google search didn't find anything, but I'm pretty sure there are guides out there. If you remove the piece of trim that covers the bottom of the door and the trim piece behind the seat, you'll see the beginning of the cable where you can inspect for issues. I'm guessing to get at the fuel door part you'll have to remove the trunk trim.
