remote door lock/unlock rogue 2009

Hello,
I'm having this problem often only in the winter. I can unlock the Rogue with the remote key no matter how cold it is, I drive to my destination and then I can't lock it with the remote. Pressing unlock/lock and nothing happens. This only happens after I drive it. After about 5 minutes then the remote functions again. It happens with both remote keys I have. I figure then it's not the remote key. In the warmer weather, all work fine at any time. Any ideas?
Where is the remote located in the Rogue? Is it in the door? thanks
