Remote/console won't activate power lock / window

This seems like a pretty basic electronic glitch. Here goes ...

I can't seem to lock my right-rear door from either the center console or by using the remote keyfob. However, all other door locks can be activated. In addition, I can't roll the right-rear window up/down from the center console either. However, both of these functions work properly when I use the door switches.

It seems like too much of a coincidence that both are remote items and that both aren't working. How can I diagnose this problem further and get the remote/console functions working again for the errant door?

Your problem is more than likely a power window amplifier. You can find one here on the forum or at the junk yard for about fourty bucks used. Take the panel off the door and it is right there in front of you. Plug and play item. There should be some threads here, I had the same issue not two months ago. Good luck.

I can't seem to find "power window amplifier" or even "amplifier" in any of the online parts lists. Can you give me a part number? It would be for the rear-right door (if that makes any difference).

Hold on ... here are two very similar discussions. There is still some confusion as to why the part is called a Local Control Unit and yet people still call it a power window amplifier. Good Idea to stock up on a few!! I got mine from PopPop here on the forum for about $40 bucks.
