Just bought a 2009 Maxima (sport & tech pkg) & LOVE the car. I'm toying with having a remote car starter installed. Prices range from $450 - @ $1000 (range from 3hrs to 2 days to install). With all the computerized "stuff" in the car do I dare have it installed? Will it be a problem for future regular service work?

Opinions please!!!!

Hi,

I have been trying to get a remote starter in my wifes new 2009 maxima. The "top notch place" that I get all my toys installed in MA can't install it for certainty. The wiring is all all different then what the starter companies have. It is something to do with Nissan releasing the correct color codes for the wires. If you know of a brand and model number that you can have installed safely, please let me know. The Compustar is what they are trying to put in. The way I look at it---you spent so much money on the car--whats a little more money when it comes to being warm especially in the Northeast!!!

Thanks Jay
