I just had to replace both remote batteries of my 9 month old 2009 G37x. Both batteries went south at the same time. One of the remotes had never been used.My previous experience was that the remote battery of my M35x had to be replaced after 2 years. What has been the experience of other G37 owners?Should I take the battery out of my unused remote to stop the drain?

Never heard of this before...I do know that the buttons are very sensitive and they could be pressed unknowingly.

I have a 09 G37 sedan with 2 remotes...no problems yet.

I don't think I replaced a remote battery in 5 years with my 03 G. I,ve replaced the battery twice now on my 08 Intelligent key. Looks like about a year is what the battery will last in an intelligent key.

Weird. I have had my g for 2 years and not a problem. My wife has already replaced the battery in her 07 Altima and it's already starting to go again.

battery drainage in the remotes is significant, but also, don't use a cheap brand type. I have a panasonic battery in my remote thats lasted a year. And if its in an enclosed space where the buttons can get pressed, thats also killing the battery.

I've had the original batteries in my remotes since Aug 2006 and they're still there, both work...

Cell batteries tend to not go out so easily.
