I remembered something the other night, and thought I'd share since it's one of those oh-by-the-way things in the books I've read on the subject.

Manifold length.

I know you guys have calculated 9-12 inches.

Remember that's including the port length, so 9-12 inches is all the way up to the back of the valves, I measured a rough 3inches. So the manifold primaries would be 6-9inches long.

it totally slipped my mind when I was thinking of manifold design the other night at work (yes, I actually design **** at work for my car, hahaha, I'm sick and I need help )

Yeah, that's good info for people making them. The 9-12 inch estimate is from the back of the valves to the end of the ports, or on itb's the end of the velocity stacks. Mind you, these are just estimates. Only time and testing will tell.

My problem is that unless I wanted to make a custom mani and space my throttles apart, I wasn't able to get my overall length less than 12". Oh well, it's gonna be a big improvement as is.
