Not ridiculous at all. Consider the Star Wars kid's view. Yes, the kid was dumb for leaving a tape like that at school, but he clearly did not give permission to have it published on the world wide web. The kid who published it on the web had no right to publish that video without the Star Wars kid's permission. The fact he became famous because of it reinforces the size of the humiliation to the victim.
Following is hypothetical...I hope. If you had a picture of yourself wearing only a thong, spiked dog collar and cowboy boots that you wanted to keep private, and AZHitman got hold of it and made you Miss March on the GRRRRLZ calendar, I'm sure you'd thank him, right? Hey, you're a "celebrity" and NICO sold every single calendar . What's wrong? Well, Nothing if you want to be famous for being a kinky cowboy, but I'm sure you'd be talking to a lawyer too if you didn't want that picture published
The kid that posted the video was wrong. The question is what is an appropriate punishment for doing a prank like that. I don't know.
