That's how i'm planing on doing my engine bay... I painted my whole subframe (under the front fenders) this way and did not even wetsand it... it came out great.

it's nice because it's rustolem so it will help prevent rust from starting under there.

Start reading now, you should be finished some time next week. There are 40 something pages, all with good info. This is how I plan to paint my car, hopefully by the end of summer. The most important part is practicing before you do your whole car, getting the mixture right, and taking the time to do THIN coats and wetsand in between.

we tried this yesterday on my friends roof with minimal success. we didnt really have anything to lose though.

Could you please tell me what's the color code ot type for that red because they don't have it at my local Home Depot or Lowe's. I tried gloss black and it turned out pretty bad because black by far is the hardest color to paint with. Im hoping red would be much easier.
