well did my commute home over an hour pulled up to friends house sitting in car and start to smell smokeI look up and smoke everywhere - Thought i was OverheatingBut smelled like Rubber.U all know just swapped a JDM motor - STRESSED to mechanic New tensioner bearings and belts.THE TENSIONER ON THE ALTINATOR SIEZED - its in the shop today for new tensioner bearings (on all 3 - tensioners) New belts (what a moron)And rebuilt front calipers - My problem was not the Master Cylinder - My mechanic obviously never checked.

BTY - MY Mechanic (soon to be "the guy i used to use") Is A VERY good friend.

LOL, after the past month, I doubt he'll miss working on your Q!

Sheesh, guy, it's just one thing after another. But you're an inspiration to Q45 owners everwhere - singleminded and determined.

Well, you would definitely need a new "friend" for the Jaguar. Can you say "Brokeback Mechanic?"

Dumb that first friend didn't follow your directions to install the parts from Joe that you gave him. What did he do with them? Throw them in the trunk?

I think James gets his parts locally, gets a similar discount to Joe...

James sorry to hear of all your troubles, but at least it's something as simple as the belts.
