Since we discussing things not being perfect lately like not seeing the hash marks on the speedometer that may not be angled correctly.

I always lived with the first missing orange bar on my fuel gauge.

Since I never wanted it fixed under warranty because of the horror stories
of others going to the dealer twice for repairs and still having problems.

I didn't want my fuel tank torn apart and getting something messed up while repairing in there.

Too much trouble for all its worth I thought.

So I just lived with it, not really bothering me.

The first orange bar probably came on a few times and I could probably count on 1 hand during these nearly 10 years.

For all intent and purposes, it's been technically broken and missing in action.

But since trying to figure out my P0171 code, by cleaning my mass flow sensor twice and using some fuel cleaner and making sure I have no leaks,

Which by the way, the code never came back so far; fingers crossed.

But now it seems my 1st orange bar seems to be working 99% of the time.

Everytime I fill my gas, I feel Wierd because I am just not use to seeing the fuel gauge working perfectly.

So give some techron fuel injection & fuel system cleaner.
And BG44K fuel system cleaner.

A try!

It reads that it cleans the fuel sending unit, etc.

Or use what you usually use.

But why would we need it 10 yrs ago? :wtf2:

I never used these cleaners before because I didn't want to taint my new vehicle back then with additives, which I thought were snake oil.

But considering how we are forced to use ethanol and gas storage tanks being less than clean. I'm sure burning this crap in our engine is not helping.

I did use some cheap stp fuel cleaner once and gum out multi tuneup after my rogue was really old. Can't tell if it cleaned but orange bar was still missing.

So I'm open minded lately, plus it cheaper then letting the dealer clean the fuel system.

I will do this until I really need to go to them.

Since I recently already gave over $1300 or whatever for the valve cover gasket, hose replacement and flush.

Just think those 9 years that first orange bar never worked correctly, but lately it shows up for Christmas 2018 after all these years.

Right when my transmission warrenty will be done in a few months.

Well I just have to get use to a fuel gauge that now works. Lol :bowrofl:

It's so Wierd seeing a full tank reading.

Just not use to it.

Right when I get use to it, most likely it disappears again.

Lol! :rotfl
