I recently went to the dealership and they advised that I have my front brakes replaced. I jumped on ebay and purchased a front kit from Brakemotive. The fronts are very bad and the squeaking is bad.

My question, is it okay to replace, just the fronts and not the rears. The rears look fine and the dealers did not mention them at all.

Thanks!

Once again (hahahaha) ya what he said!!! :mike

Did mine this past weekend with brakemotive drilled slotted, with the pads that came with it. love em! Do them both! $185 shipped to your house for front and back rotors and pads? Pfff no brainer! While you have the wheels and rotors off paint your calipers RED! I did this too... :naughty:

Post a pic, I'm thinking about getting mines painted or power coated...

I've also considered painting the callipers and adding the 'infiniti' calliper emblems sold on Ebay. Is it necessary to actually disconnect the calliper completely to paint it, or could it be well masked and painted after just removing the wheel only?

I didn't do it myself, but I had some brake work done on my old car and he took the caliper off the rotor, but left it hanging somehow (not hanging from the brake line). He painted it there and carefully put it back on the rotor while wet....put wheels back on and went to the next. Came out perfect. I always paint my calipers black.

You can do one axle at a time ... if the rear pads and rotors are not worn, then don't replace them yet.
