I am curious on how to relocate my ac controls to the glove box but need to know how? I have read that you need to cut and lengthen the wires but I know that AC wires are differant from the typical speaker wire and do not know how to do this and don't wanna risk messing up my AC.

Ya i just finished pulling out my AC today... lightens up the car and reduces load on the engine b/c of the belt... all in all a good thing to do i think.

If you get hot just put down windows!

i would like to do something like that too, but the AC is too important to me to screw up so I would just take it to a shop or something.

Does anybody know how to cut and lenghthen AC wire. unlike speaker wire that has many small wires wrapped in a plastic tube AC wire is a solid piece of wire.

i would get another harness.splice in an extension.the hardest part would be the hard wire cable used for the temp control.routing that would be the hard part.you don't want the cable to get kinked.

a/c isnt as important as HEAT controls. i have my a/c removed also. if you dont have a/c that cable that controls the temperature is useless. i just pulled it all the way out manually so that it blows heat.

Yep, definitely depends on where you live. Where I'm at, a roll down of the windows is good enough. Obviously not in any place that gets hot and humid.

That wire can be soldered with a strip, make both ends a hook, and plenty of heat and patience.

Do the dcc swap and you don't have to worry about that pesky cable. Check out the link in my sig to learn how to do the swap. (sorry to toot my own horn)
