Relocated and re wired the GPS mount

So I have the Garmin Nuvi 350 and wanted to get rid of the 12 V adapter wire that ran from the center console to the GPS unit.

I tapped the 12 V output from the fuse box on the driver's side and ran the wire up my windscreen and relocated the GPS to the top left of the windscreen.

Yay! This GPS relocation + my ipod stereo = No more messy wires!

And it's really not as bright at the pic shows...funky camera aperture settings

no it is because it is brighter than the rest of the light in your picture, and your camera was adjusted to the lighting in the rest of the pic and not the light from the gps.

When I borrowed a friends GPS unit, I like having it mounted on the right side bottom of the windshield. When I get my own, I'll probably keep it over there, and route the power down through the access panel on that side of the dash.
