Ok, background: Why do I want this? To mount the dual exhaust that I want on the car I need to put the second muffler where the evap canister is currently (under right corner of trunk).
Where to put the evap canister? In the trunk? Possbly, but I got to drill a hole to run the vent tube off the water separator. (1" OD)
So I want to put it where the batt'ry is.
Any of you 240 guys who did this notice any benefit from the added weight on the rear axle?
I have done some research and the NHRA rules are far more restrictive than SCCA. There is an NHRA approved plastic battery box from Moroso in TX that I am looking at getting. Any recommendations on other parts I need? NHRA won't take an Optima gel filled one without a box so it would be wasted money.
Also I need to rig up a kill switch activated from the rear corner of the car (outside). Have any of you done this before and got any advice? I don't want this to look ghetto on my new car.
