alright, i have most of the parts, and enough money for the rest of them, to put a t25 on my ka, just as a fun daily driver, i dont expect much, i just want a taste. the motor has about 160xxx on it and it burns a bit of oil. i havent done a compression or leakdown yet but i will very soon. this is going in my daily so reliablity is a big issue, and i know most of it has to do with proper matinance and such, which is no problem. i also know that boost causes more stress no matter what. so i guess what im asking for insight on is, how reliable is a ka with a sr t25 running stock boost? i will have all the necessary components such as a good tune and fuel and cooling as well. thanks, TJG

i would first check the compression and make sure that they are high enough and consistent throughout within 10 psi of each other

cooling and oil pressure. But the biggest would be compression

Oil pump, water pump, and thermostat.

With those three things you're chances of catasrophe are much lower.

If there isn't any water coming out of the weep hole on the water pump, it is fine. Unless you consistently run sand and random FOD through your cooling system, the water pump still displaces fluid just fine.
