I need a good reliable clutch. Ive blown my second one now and im sick of changing them. Spec stage 3 and act stage 2 i have had experience with. Im thinking of doing a stock clutch. how much can stock clutched hold? Im pushing about 250whp right now. Id like to keep that at 250 when driving it daily and looking to do no more than 300whp in the future at the track.

Ive run the ACT street clutch (Organic disk with heavy duty pressure plate) on my S13 for the past 1.5 years, drifting at least once a month, 20,000 miles commuting a year, with no problems. The pedal gets heavier than stock but its much much more comfortable for a daily driver than 6puck or 4 puck clutches. When you say you had the ACT stage 2, do you mean you had the metallic clutch? Why did you get a metallic clutch if you are only making only 250hp? From my experince Metallic clutches tend to wear out quickly if you drive them in stop and go traffic and let the clutch slip.

Btw, Im running a GT2871R on my car and making about 350whp and my clutch still doesnt slip (even while drifting with 245 tires in the back). ACT claims that their organic disk with heavy duty pressure plate can hold 362lbft of torque and I actually think it can hold more. You can also now get the organic disk with the extreme pressure plate which supposadly holds 449lbft of torque (waaaay more than enough for most people)
