Recently had just the tilt motor replaced on my 92 Q45a. Steering wheel still will not go up, but will go down. The machanic who put it in told me that there is a bad relay, and that the relay is in a plastic sealed box near the parking brake. He told me that you cannot just replace one relay, you have to replace the box. He told me that the box was an enclosed plastic box. What is this box called? Is it expensive? Are steering column relay issues common? Please help. Thanks

I'd be a lot more suspicious of the slider switch for the steering column positioner.

He may be talking about the BCM, but you need to study the wiring diagram.

Experienced Infiniti technician, I presume?
