1996 Q45 owners, which my wife loves. New to us. Well cared for.
Woke up to battery being dead. I thought I left lights on, but wife found it, and we don't think lights were on.
So I put a trickle charger on it. After a few minutes, the charger light started blinking, and it sounded like a relay was clicking near the battery....in the fuse box?
(I disconnected neg terminal, so the battery can charge. )
Key was out of ignition, so I'm wondering what electrical component is energizing a relay w/o key? I puilled the fuse cover off and tried to feel for the relay clicking. Couldn't determine which one.
Power antenna? We've been having problems with the antenna going up or down, and I know it operates after key is removed from ignition.
This reminds me that after starting it, there is a series of clicking going on in/near the right front fender, which eventually went away, so we thought "old car." Maybe these are related?
Thoughts????? Appreciate any help!
