Here's a few pics I took during our run about the lake... enjoy!
p.s. We really do have the coolest members.
...and of course, a pic of his REAL machine, the new M45!

Needs an engine, as Merc 90 is seized. NOW you guys know what I want for my birthday.![]()
I hope you got the boat for free. You will spend more on a new engine, that the whole thing is worth (unless you get one that has the serial numbers filed off).:pfaceAZhitman wrote:Not repairable, unfortunately.
Someone tried, and disassembled the engine (then let it sit out in the rain for 5 years).
No rush, as I'm "baroque" for now.![]()
Force is the kind of motor I had. A 1987 model. It was a 50. It is actually an old Chrysler design, that Merc bought. I would stay away from them. They are prone to overheating, and WAY overrated on their power. A 50 Force is about a 35 Merc. They used to be rated at the crank, but now motors are rated at the foot.elwesso wrote:Jeff... You must not be looking very hard....
At our marina we have all kinds of used engines... my dad bought a 40hp Force (a generic mercury but the same engine, sans a few minor things) for like 500 or something like that.....
Check the plate on the hull. It should have a max HP rating for the boat. Don't go over that, unless you want to give it to the Marine Police.AZhitman wrote:Boat was free and is in great (well, as great as a weathered 1977 Glastron can be) shape.
I'd like to find a 90-110 hp outboard for it for a good price...
