I PURCHASED THIS CAR AND THERE WAS GAS IN THE OIL. I TOOK IT TO A AUTO SHOP AND THEY REPLACED ALL THE FUEL INJECTORS, REPLACED FUEL PUMP, CHANGED THE OIL. WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME IT WAS SMOKING OUT OF THE TAILPIPE LOTS AND LOTS OF WHITE SMOKE. DID NOT STOP SMOKING . WOULD IT BE LOTS OF OIL AND GAS BUILT UP IN THE EXAUST? ANY INFO PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TO CHECK FIRST. THANKS

Your oil is filling back up with gas since one (or more) of the lower injector o-rings did not seat properly and is leaking. The shop you paid good money to fix what was probably only a leaky injector to begin with didn't fix the problem. Bring your mechanic a jar of Vaseline for the job (to lube the o-rings) and hopefully this time when they reseat the injectors with new upper and lower o-rings they'll pressure test the fuel rail before reinstalling the plenum (hint, hint). They wouldn't want to have to remove the plenum a third time on their dime.

Good luck and welcome to NICO.

I'm glad you clarified that

I actually used motor oil as o-ring lubricant on my last replacement... Infiniti started recommending it in the later FSMs... beginning in 1996 or 1997. M1 worked very well.
