Hey guys (n gals)

I had to get my first safety inspection done after 1 year of happy G ownership.

And, I failed due to some play in the rear sway bar linkage or something?!? Anyone know what the peices will cost? It's all good, just kinda trying to budget for Christmas, had a few problems this month, broken down furnace, leaking pipes, altima problems with tires, charging belt shot, etc... now my G needs suspension work, Damn, S$%@ hits the fan.

Everything comes in waves

Talk to Vivek (4drmadness) about this. He just bought aftermarket endlinks.

Could be all in my head, but I could tell which side had the stock endlink and which had the aftermarket (the mechanic who installed them snapped on of the bolts).

BTW, change your sig already!!! NRG?

Yea, some states have safety inspections yearly prior to registration renewal......just like us west coasters have to smog ours. They're getting tired of all the junk on the roads held together with bailing wire and bubblegum. I lived in Virginia for awhile and had to get every vehicle I had inspected before I could register them......huge pita....and it makes money for the state as well. I had to fix the horn on my old truck before I could get it regst'd.....kinda overboard, but then again.......all the rules are probably written in blood, so it makes sense.

I doubt there is anything that he can see a problem in other than the end links. Unless the bushing brackets are loose. Either way, its a fairly simple fix. Take off the back tires, jack it up and tighten the bracket bolts. Replace the endlinks with the revised ones. I know that I put those on when I went to Stillen sways and it only takes a few min once you have the car in the air and tires off. Be sure when you tighten down the endlinks that the inside nut isn't spinning or else you won't get it torqued down right.

damn dude just installed the second spl endlink. can really feel the difference. car feels more solid and feels that its limits have been extended. all guys with sway bars should get new endlinks, be it revised or aftermarket. this combo is prbly the best imo

Thanks for the pointers, I always prefer to do the work myself, but the mechanic is a friend who seems to be pretty good so far?!? He'll give me a quote before starting, and of course, give me the option to install myself.

I'll hear from him when the links get in and let you know what I do, thanks guys, oh, and Nate, I updated my sig just for you buddy!

i bought some used spl endlinks, just the rear ones for $95. new ones run around 150. another brand you might want to look at is powergrid. imo, if you dont have sway bars, dont get adjustable ones. both go hand in hand. let me know what option you go with.

Will do, thanks for the info So, it's obviously a noticeable improvement in handling? grip? etc.

Leaning towards a set of lowering springs for next summer, should set her off nice with a body kit someday.

Soooooo.....

I'm waiting for my appointment to get the car fixed next Tuesday, I've asked my mechanic what the cost of the parts was, and he said 45 a piece, so I guess that's pretty sweet.

They had to come from Infiniti, so I'm doin the waiting game.

Love the Christmas dudes.
