Reinventing the SR20 Cooling System??

When I bought my SR this series of coolant lines had a little kink in it. It's kinked good enough that if I unkink it, it's sure to break, but if I don't nothing's flowing through there. I've looked for local part-outs and whatnot and havent found anyone that has the piece, and anyone I've found that will ship it wants like $75 for theirs. Has anyone maybe bypassed this thing with AN fittings and braided hose or something similar? If so, can someone point me to a thread regarding that, or at least tell me the proper term for this things so I can search?

Are you talking about the metal pipe, or the rubber hose?
If its the metal pipe, you could just unkink it and weld it back together if it breaks.
Do you have a picture of the actual kink?
