I have to smog my car and I bought some ngk rs. I didnt think that this car comes with platinum plugs.

will putting in type rs affect performance at all?

I put in one and didnt notice a difference. What happens with regular ngks in a infiniti i30?

Ive owned a infiniti g20 AND a nissan sentra 97 which are pretty closely related and they ran BETTER on the regular ngks so I assumed this one would too but then again it is a different beast completely with the premium fuel and all.

Better stick with OEM plugs, NGK PFR5G-11 (normal heat range, 5). The gap is fixed on these plugs, @ 0.044. Other plugs may have different working voltage, gap. heat range, etc.
