Regarding 07 M35x AUX not working

I have 07 2007 M35X , i got it with aux & Ipod cable( X owner installed it as 07 didnt come with Aux)
The aux cable was working fine , i just used to press radio button thrice on preset A & Aux1 will be displayed which will catch the music from iphone.
Now when i press radio button thrice in any preset A B or C, it will switch between radio FM or AM channel, that is on first press of radio button( on say Preset A) it will go on the one of the FM ( MHZ) channel on the list of 6 & on the second press it will go on some other AM ( Khz) channel not on any of the 6 sets of preset A.On the third press it again goes to same FM channel where it was on first press,
Ideally on three radio or source press under preset a it should take to AUX1 , Aux2 Ipod , it was working fine few days ago but suddenly its behaving the the way i mentioned above.

Please guide what could be wrong & how to correct it

Unit might not be detecting it, so something might have gotten jarred loose. Only way to know is to take everything apart and make sure it's all still plugged in.

Or better yet, get a USA Spec. device. Much better.

I think my problem started when i started tuning new radio station as i moved to new place, before that everything was fine, i still think there is something which can be done it to restore it back bcoz it was normal few days back


How easy it is to install USA Spec iPod® Interface ?need professional or can be done by yourself

I did it by myself, but I'm mechanically/automotively inclined...

Have you taken it apart? Was everything plugged in properly? What is your aux unit right now?

I'm not sure what aftermarket solution you have. If you have one of the USA Spec solutions, here is how to set it up:

Steps:
- Play the 1st Track of any Artist folder on your iPod or iPhone
- Pause the iPod or iPhone after the 1st track is played for a few seconds
- Connect iPod or iPhone to interface adaptor
- Turn car key to ACC power ON and turn the radio ON
- Switch radio to XM (or Sirius) band by pushing the RADIO or SAT button
- iPod music will play through the radio
- If radio has a Present A-B-C button, select "A" preset group by pushing "preset A-B-C" button
- If radio has SAT1 or SAT2 buttons then push the SAT1 button
- When radio displays CH1, push and hold preset button #1 for about 3 seconds or until a beep is heard
- Push the Track Up button to CH2
- When the radio displays CH2, push and hold the preset button #2 for about 3 seconds or until a beep is heard
- Repeat the last two steps to setup CH3 to CH6 and Preset #3 to Preset #6

Then you can test it. If setup properly, when you are on the correct preset settings:
#1 - Playlist Folders
#2 - Artist Folders
#3 - Album Folders
#4 - All Songs Folder
#5 - iPod Direct
#6 - RCA AUX
