redtop vs. blacktop ecu

are there any differences between the redtop and blacktop ecus? i ask b/c someone is selling a redtop aem ems and i'm wondering if i can use it for my blacktop.

between the S13 red and blacks; there is no difference. the only exception to that rule is that the type-x had a different ecu map.

Ive ran both an E5 (blacktop) and a 62 ecu on my redtop

Can the benefit with the different Ecu map in a red top?

The fuel and ign mapping is slightly different in the 62 and E5. Not enough for one not to run the other.
