I posted in the SR forum, got zero replies.

I'm getting code 21 (Ignition signal). I've tested the entire harness, all the way to the ECU. Last thing I checked was the ignitor chip.

When I tested terminal E to ABCD, I got something like 12ohms of resistance.Same result with ABCD to 1234. Can someone test theirs to see if it's the same?

Wayne at Phase2 told me that my SR wouldn't even start if the chip was malfunctioning. But I don't see how else I could get a code 21.

Under no load it struggles to get up to 3000 rpms. Cannot go passed 3000. Idle is rough, but it doesn't stall. I'm running pretty rich I think. I have a small boost leak, which is going to be fixed with a new IC. Also getting code 34 for knock sensor, which is getting replaced. The knock sensor wouldn't cause this right? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

The knock sensor could affect your power.Put your timing light on and see what the timing is doing as you rev the engine.

Really? I never had one on my KA, so I just figured it was the same deal for the SR. I need to buy a timing light, or maybe rent from autozone. Thanks for clarifying that.

If it is screwed up it could be retarding the timing.

Alright. I for sure need that timing light then. Any insight on the ignition issue?

The ignitor has 4 coil drivers in it.If it has dropped 1 or 2 of the coil drivers it could still run but it would have a dead miss. This could be why the engine has no power. You also need to check your coils.

Coils are good. I've tested everything according to the s14 FSM. The only questionable part of the whole system is the chip. If I had the car here with me I could do more testing. The only thing I know is what it was doing last week while doing the swap. What I should have done is just strait up pulled the plugs and looked for a spark at the end of each.

Wiring from plugs all the way to ECU: PassedCoil packs: PassedIgnitor chip: I don't really know

What I really need is for someone to test a chip that they have laying around that's for sure working. Just measure the resistance between E and 1234.

If i had an SR in mine i would be glad to check it . You might want to double check and make sure the ignitor is wired correctly.
