redtop o2 sensor wiring with fat o2????

ive been having richness problems with my sr for awhile now after alot of searching i noticed the black wire on the o2 sensor was going to the white on the harness side i was thinking this is probably a ground and is defeating the purpose of it the fat o2 has 2 white wires and one black and the sr side has a black brown and white wire should i repin the o2 sensor and what wire goes where?

Black on the sensor should go to white on the car harness, the other two don't matter which way you hook them up.
