redtop harness on s13 blacktop?

Does this work? I am about to purchase a blown redtop with upgraded injectors, cams, and maf therefore it also has a romtune. Going to put all of these parts on my blacktop but was hoping to be able to use the redtop ecu so I could save money and not have to get another rom tune on a blacktop ecu. So could I make this work with simplicity or is there a lot of differences between the two harnesses ( if the redtop harness even works at all on the blacktop) Thank you.

I searched first but to no avail. Didn't find your thread atleast. Found some info but not very in depth. I have a type x blacktop and I know that the redtop harness with modification will work on it but can't find what it is that i'll need to do to make it work.

from my understanding... the type x ENGINE is the same.. so the redtop harness will do just fine given you use a redtop ecu.

cool sounds good. I'll keep doing research but I appreciate your help and if anybody else has input that would be great. But now that I know I can get it to work one way or another thats great that will save me a good chunk of change

I spoke to Yury at wiring specialties and he said yes it should work just fine as if the blacktop was a redtop. I know this is what you said pyro but I wasn't sure if this was from first hand experience or not because you said "from your understanding"..but either way it seems that it will work. Great news for me!
