So i changed my cams, thought i bent the valves, well i got lucky and didnt.

so i put the stock ones back in.... i had to tweak the timing...put it back together and...

VOILA!!!!!

my vacuum is back down to 17/20 my idle is alot more stable, Granted it doesnt pull has hard into boost because the cams arent in, but it still goes.

Get your stock cams in redsx13 and lets see if it does the same thing for you.

just sent you an email, didn't see this new thread and wasn't sure if the cams fixed it or not.i will hit you up again about those cams of yours. I'm pretty sure that's whats wrong with mine.

just wondering, but what was wrong with the aftermarket cams? do you think they weren't properly installed or where they just made wrong?

not too sure, im thinking they are just ground out of spec. cuz i read my cam card, and it even says, for best results to degree them and use adj cam gears....which are 300$+ lol

hmm...that sucks...i wonder if its even worth the hp gains.

btw i sent you another email.

you know, i took another look at my cams and noticed a couple things that where a little strange...

1. why doesn't my chain have different color links to match up to the marks on the cam gears?(I'm almost 100% sure those white marks aren't factory)

2. notice the second set of holes on the inner part of the cam gear, do stock gears have those holes? maybe mine are aftermarket and adjusted wrong?
