Yeah, its the inverse. Instead of taking half of the number, it doubles it, as shown. If you rearrange the correct equation (they switched HP and Torque), you get:
Torque = ( 5250 x HP ) / RPM
Now, if we plug in 100 for HP at 2625 RPM ( 1/2 of 5250 ), you'll get:
Torque = ( 5250 x 100 ) / 2625Torque = 200
Now if we plug the numbers into the quiz's formula, you get:
Torque = ( HP x RPM ) / 5250orTorque = (100 x 2625) / 5250orTorque = 50
Why did I just do all this? It's 12.06, and I'm bored out of my skull. So sue me.
