I was wondering how much can the stock engine take in terms of its RPM's, if i read line it from like 3rd through 6th or even 2nd through 6th am i going to seriously mess up my engine or is that more what its made for, also is constantly reving and other related things bad for the Z or is it made to handle all that and above?

stock rev limiter keeps you from messing anything up, wit a stand alone or chip you can move the rev limiter up or do away with it, then you can rev till you break something

Evildky is right. I wouldn't recommend going around always driving like that though. The engine needs a break every once in a while.

On my 07 I have the rpm shift lights to come on at 6800 rpm as this is where the hp and torque peak. Much above that is a waist.

Do you think thats the same or around the same for the 06 Z or do you think its a bit different?

I am not sure for the 06 as its a different motor design. I think I found my info in the owners manual (or it may have been online). Yours may address this too. Most engines, import or US made, make their peak hp and torque well below the manufacturers red line, and every motor has a hp and torque graph where they peak. They very seldom peak at the same rpm but are usually within a few hundred of each other before they drop off. Going to the red line in most cases is in the zone where both have lower values.

NO

The 06 redlines at 7,000 or 6,800 and produces its peak 300 horses at 6,400. The 07 Z's have a different engine, it has a much higher redline (7,500) and produces it's 306hp at 6,800
