redid Daunttless' website

yo, I redid daunttless' website today, nothing exciting or special. I'm waiting for the rest of the info to finish it, and pics to put in. I'd like some shiny stuff that goes boom eventually (when Daunttless wants to compensate me for it, lol), but that'l wait for now. edit: oh yeah, i started this at 11 this morning and just finished it completely, with a crapload of brakes and finding info, so it was basically a super rushed job, so go easy with the critisizm,

ok under the engins> sr20det rwd section

on the s15 you put "everything needed for the swap"

are you inferring that the other packages dont include everything?, dont think so

Also I think it looks sort of tacky to put Aim=Dauntless at the bottom, maybe there is a better place for that or you could put his email address and a phone number

On the Policias-Warranties Page

Dont CENTER the paragraphs

Engins, Startup, inhouse installation, etc could use underlings/bolding/bigger text

In between the different policies use Horizantal lines <HR>

On the Warranty part use an ordered list , or at least add returns in between the first, second thrid, etc.

I know it was probaly cut and paste so you probaly overlooked that,

On the Faq part dont center the paragraphs either

The page also deserves a title

I think the page looks great and i like how you used a headed and a footer with graphics

damn, i said go easy. as far as the meta tags, i gave dauntless what he asked for, i was considering putting in meta tags, but didnt bother because he has to get me the rest of the info for the site, i cant bother him with search terms to use til after i get all that (ive been doing everything with little to no help, lol). The header is busy because i like it busy, plain and simple, period. The centered text is probably a good idea to not use, I'll consider it, lol. I'm not getting too thorough with some of the things mentioned. As far as the navigation scheme, WHAT is confusing on it? It's plain english, come on, thats just pathetic if you cant find your way through it. It's EXACTLY how Daunttless told me to put it by the way. BI could also care less about text browsers. and the alt tags? come on man, dont be pathetic, they arent needed. You seem to act like you know web design pretty well, I'd love to see some of your work if you have any. Also, the black background with white gext (its grey by the way

) is what Daunttless asked for.

Looks good but as previously stated, don't center the paragraphs and most importantly, fix the AIM contact info at the bottom of the page.

I donno bout you guys- but I'm seeing 2 blue boxes (with the nav info Engines, Services, Online Store.... etc) next to eachother. Not sure why that is.

I dont think the graphic up top is TOO busy - I actually kinda like it... but it is probably a little big. It looks fine on my computer but I'm running 1600x1200 resolution so things are a little bit smaller over here... Also with the header image-- maybe make the AFTER DARK TUNING bit stand out a little more... it kinda blends into the background a little more than it should.

I agree with AK about the navigation though-- why do you have all the Home/About/Contact... etc horizontally and the other stuff vertically in that box? It doesnt make sense really... Pick one or the other, and arrange it like AK said-- make it so it's EEEAASSSYYYY to understand.

The text for each section needs a LOT of work. I understand its just thrown together, but if you want a professional looking website you need to have it all look professional- not just some fancy graphics that lead to something I can bang out in wordpad.

I dont think white on black is TOO bad... but again it doesnt look professional... maybe have some tables with colored backgrounds(and borders)... something like that. Do it with stylesheets to make it look nice.

If you're gonna have the header image and that horizontal nav bar on every page, why not put it in a frame?

ALT and META tags, titles for the pages... thats basic stuff you shouldnt be missing man- comeon dont get lazy!

Maybe the FAQ can be arranged better-- some sort of index of the questions or something like that.

Make the link colors (outside of the nav) something other than that fugly blue color. Again, stylesheets!

Re-write that "About" story... I know that might not be your responsibility, but comeon... its pretty corny and again, it doesnt look very professional. "He decided to step up and fill the gap where the Nissan guys were left empty handed. The result? The best and most reliable source for japanese domestic market engine swaps." Tell me that doesnt strike you as at least a LITTLE corny...?

ah ok I think I'm done for now. good work so far though man- really.. Ive got a lot of complaints but only to help ya out. It's a good first draft!

StephenB - I'm selling the supra because I've just gotten tired of it. I've had it for 3 years and it's time for something new. Once I do sell it, I'll be purchasing a S13 and putting a decent amount of money into it

For the love of god, change the link color. The blue clashes really badly with the rest of the page. I don't think the banner is too busy, just too big (file size-wise).

I was going to do that, but daunttless didnt provide pics, I had to scower for them on my own, and couldnt finda good moon pic.
