red top will not start

when i go to start the car all it does is click rapidly then it gets slower until it stops, so i hooked up a battery charger.Even when its fully charged i just get faster clicks. I started trouble shooting and found out my battery had a bad ground to the frame. so i ground it down and put the bolt back in.

I took my starter off then brought it to advanced auto parts and they said it was good so i know my starter isnt bad.

BTW my battery is in the trunk

i thought about that too and when my friend came over so took out his battery and replaced mine with it.

about that ground do you mean the ground on the battery or maybe somewhere else.

every grounding... especially the ones from engine to chassis and battery to chassis

ground from the valve cover to the firewall. wouldn't hurt to slap a ground kit on.
