I have a Red Top SR20DET and I installed an aftermarket exhaust manifold. After I got it back running I crunk it up and now it dont want to idle and right before it cuts off it starts making a whistling sound. Does anyone out there know what could be causing this? Any information would be highly appreciated.

mmmm, only help i could offer would be to recheck all your vacuum lines a few more times.

Maybe it is your MAFS, try and clean it and if that doesent work maybe look for a new one, or a 300zx TT MAFS

Thanks!. Ok i dont know the exact termanoligy for this but bear with me. Ok when you start your car your throttle is alrady pushed down to keep the car ideling now right on the throttle body where the throttle cable is make sure it is nicr and tight because it could just be that its a little loose and not giving the car enough gas for it to idel properly. (has happend to me before cable cam off and it wouldent start unless you held it open with your hand) Ok and you can try this, see if the ecu is sending out any codes (blinking led lights on the side of the ecu with code numbers beside it. If there is find out what the code is for. You can reset your ECU just pull it out for 5 min and then put it back in that might correct any codes. And you can try and clean out the TB (throttle body) and if all fails go to canadian tire and buy some injector cleaner and put it in your gas tank and it might clean your injectors if they are dirty. And if that doesent work pull them out and clean them by hand. So try all of that and hopfully it will work! Best of luck

Nick
