red top not building boost and misfire under load

ok I have a s13 with a redtop sr in it. The motor is misfiring when I drive.. only when I get on the throttle. In first it wont hardly go past 5k and all other gears I can feel in missing bad. I might be thinking its a coilpack. but I had one go bad before and it started missing right after I hit boost. This will still let it build rpm. also I turned my boost controler all the way up and it wont go past 10psi. I dont know if this has to do with something else. or if it is directly related to my missfire problem.. Just seeing what people think it might be before I throw parts at it.

Sounds like a boost leak. Pressure test your piping, don't just do a visual inspection. There's a thread on how to do so.

A boost leak would cause the car to run rich an bog down horribly. Look at your bumper is there soot in the area?

TBH it sounds as it hes running lean if his car soudns like a Chinese New Year party. Do you have a narrow or wideband afr gauge? Do you have access to Nissan's Consult program or read flash codes?
