K, i was washing my V yesterday and while cleaning under the hood i noticed this red substance on my battery terminals, is this some kind of corrosion? I`m used to the white powdery corrosion on older cars so i have no clue, lol ... i just got my 10k service done too so maybe its some sort of anti corrosive?

Yeah, it looks like acid/corrosion prevention coating.

It's battery terminal protector and it does help prevent corrosion.

Permatex makes some that will probably be the same shade of red, if that's a concern for anyone.

I'm quite sure the dealership sprayed it as part of your 10K service. We use to do the same when I use to work for Mazda years ago. You'll probably also see white lithium grease around your door hinges and other places of friction.
