red oil in intake manifold

hey there. i stripped my motor to change hg. when i took off the stock int manifold (the bottom side of the int) there was a puddle of red oil. anyone know what this might be and where it would have come from? thanks.

what kind of red oil? how does it smell? the only red oil is the the power stearing (atf)

totally forgot i had this posted. been too busy with other things. i think it might be powersteering. dont know how it would get there though. its too cold right now so i cant smell it but it is red though.
