Red Nightshades on tails?

Anybody ever used the stuff? I want to red out my tails but dont want to drop like $70 for vinyl. So what do yall think?

i've used the red nightshade on my 08 sedan. after awhile of the sun beating on the car, the red starts to fade to an orange/pink looking color. this was without any clear coat over about 4 coats of nightshade.
