Does anybody have any experience using Red Line's fcomplete fuel system cleaner? It is supposed to be a synthetic product, oxygen sensor safe and according to some reviews, very effective.

Below info taken from their site:

Complete Fuel System Cleaner contains detergents and a synthetic upper cylinder lubricant which will help clean the intake valves, pollution control valves, combustion chamber deposits and carburetors.

...but, the Redline costs 5 bucks and you can get it anywhere (parts shop). My mechanic sells BG44k, but he recommends Amsoil fuel system cleaner over the BG, I was gonna get some from him.

After using BG44K I believe you need to change the oil. Is this correct? That doesn't seem to be the case with Red Line. Can you confirm?Tks!

I've used it the day I drove my Q home which was an 800 mile ride. It works, but nothing incredible. BG is highly respected especially since Porsche endorses it. I never tried the Amsoil one, but have used Amsoil synthetic ATF in my Mercedes and it works great. The only products that I used to use on a regular basis for fuel inkection cleaning are from Luqui-Moly and you can feel the difference the very first time you out your foot on the accelerator. It was the Jectron and Ventil Sauber that I used to buy often.

no, you use it the same way you use redline.

I just say use 44k because its the only stuff ive found that works (noticeable difference), so why waste money on stuff that doesnt work as good... might as well not use anything than use something that doesnt work... "nothing" costs less.

Lino, where do you get that stuff...?

best to dump it in before you fill your tank so it mixes really well.

Where is the best place to get BG44K? Apparently is not sold by retailers or autoparts stores. I even tried a couple of car dealerships but they (supposedly) had no idea what I was talking about.

Use BG web site to findhttp://www.bgfindashop.com/bgservices/fuelair.htm

If the stuff you buy is so weak you don't have to change the oil after you use what are you really buying?

Bg makes an ultra induction cleaner that will poison the entire staff if you use it inside a closed shop and the vapor will strip the paint off the walls.......this is a product you won't find me mentioning here but I use it annually on my 311k Q and real basket cases [the emergency room].

In Germany it's called Liqui Moly and in the US it's called Lubro Moly.

Mr. Gary Boyd was the official North American supplier. I haven't called him in a while, but here is the telephone number I have: 1-800-223-1634

Here is the official website:

http://www.liqui-moly.de/web/l...flash

Click on the American flag for English

Here are 2 US resellers:
