Red Headlight Warning Light

Help please....Headlight warning light glows red when brake pedal depressed, all light appear to be functioning...1993 tt

There is a relay box, Green driver side hatch area behind the panels, usually something goes wonky in those if that light comes on.

OR

If you just replaced the bulbs in the 3rd brakelight and did not get them from the factory, this will cause the light to come on. I think the parts store ones have the wrong wattage.

Yeah, for some reason Nissan decided to put in a sensor that measures current through the bulbs. If one is not making good contact, or like freak said, is the wrong bulb, the light will come on when you press the brake.

Remove the bulbs, clean the contacts, see if the problem goes away.
