red front turn signals illegal?

our cars have rear red turn signals and I was going to order red led turn signal bulbs but dont want a ticket. I had the hyper white turn signals on my 96 maxima and never got bothered for those. I might just get the LED amber turn signals or some chrome amber turn signals instead.

Yeah, any light projected from the front of the car has to be on a spectrum of amber to white. Yellow is in between that spectrum so yellow is fine, but not red. As for turn signals, check your state law if it states it has to be only amber.

i'm not sure about NY...but in CA...red is illegal in the front...

in NY its a Moving violation...a fine + points + maby a impound of the car

ouch ok thanks for the info guys. anyone know if i order like one of the 20 or 30 led bulbs if I would need a resisitor or anything...or will the coupe be able to handle all the wattage to the turn signal every couple of seconds when it goes off? I'm also going to get those leds for the parking light in yellow just to brighten the color a little bit

i currently have the red turn signal for the front end and yes its not legal but i havent gotten bothered about it..i just try not to turn around cops lol..

the chrome amber bulbs work great.
