Red Button above Accelerator

I dont quite know how to explain it but its a button that is pushed in when the accelerator is pushed all the way to the floor. What does it do? The one in my car is only pushed in when I mash on the gas pedal as hard as possible so I dont think it is for normal driving, could it have something to do with the speed governor possibly?

it is a button that trips a sensor that automatically starts a prayer to Jesus for acceleration (for those of you equipped with both christianity and a stock KA)

it should have a little knob on it that changes the prayer to different deities for those of you with different religious preferences....

(BTW: I have no clue WTF I am talking about)

It has nothing to do with teh speed governor, it has nothing to do with anything I've ever seen discussed here, leave it alone.

On some cars it shuts the a/c compressor off. Nissan may or may not use it for the same thing.

full throttle sensor? which shuts off the AC for a tiny bit to give u extra honda passing powaaaaar!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe other stuff too.

Crank up your car.. turn on your AC.. Push the button with your finger...Listen for the AC to turn off...if it doesnt.. go back to the diety theory.:ylsuper

I think mine was taken out , there is a metal bracket down there but no button left on it, i'd like to know what it does too =\

Hey I'd like to know what this is too! I notice when I floor my car (with it off) I can hear a click right before the accelerator is fully depressed... Interesting. I'll try the AC thing.

The AC thing sounds right, basically it shuts off the AC for passing power. I have heard some things about this before but never went and looked. No joke though it would make a great full throttle switch for some N20
