Red Alert 3 Beta!

I'm downloading my client now.

I'm pretty sure there's no non-disclosure clause, but I can't read the EULA/TOS until I actually install it. Assuming I'm right and there isn't one, I'll post my impressions here!

Not made by Westwood....Released on PC as well as consoles.....

I don't have my hopes up for this one but, hey, I like surprises.

Have you played C&C3 or Kane's Wrath?They're in the same boat: EA developed with console versions. And they're also both a lot of fun.

I played RA 1+2 loved both.

Then I tried Generals, and Zero Hour, and those games were not fun. Nice graphics for when they were released but I rank them as garbage.

Generals and Zero Hour were indeed crap.

C&C3 and Kane's Wrath went back to what made C&C great, though. Absolutely NOTHING like Generals.

Ok so I'll wait for you to buy the game and then you can come and tell me what you think of it. Seeing as we share the somewhat alike thoughts about these types of games I'll at least have some idea on whether I'll like the game or not. Are you thinking of getting the PC or console version?

C&C1 and the first Red Alert were AWESOME games. I havent played C&C at all since Red Alert 2 though. My computer kinda sucks now so maybe I'll try RA3 on the 360.

Definitely the PC version. I'm running the beta smoothly (albeit at very low settings) so I see no reason to give up my keyboard and mouse for a gamepad.

Just in case you're curious what it takes to run the game, my compy is a 2.4GHz Athlon 3200+ with 2 gigs of RAM and a 512MB ATI 2600 XT. So nothing powerful, although the video card is reasonably up-to-date.

Holy crap!!! RA3... I'm SO in on this.RA2 was one of my favorite games, partly because in highschool/college we loaded it on the computers and played constantly during class.... but that's beside the point.

ive been hooked on RA3 since i dled the beta... so much fun... i like it. they kept it more like ra2....beta needs more maps tho lol.

I don't know, but I liked Zero Hour. I think it's more fun to play than C&C3. Although I don't have Kanes Wrath.

I'm pretty sure time travel, tranforming robots, mind control, tesla coils, and ion cannons are just as scifi as anything in the Tiberian games.

So the release date is in October as the guy at this game shop said. I think im going to get fired over this game. Who still plays Red alert 2? if you do there are a few hacked versions that you can add on to the game, preatty fun i tell ya.
