Recovery hook/tow hook is behind license plate-mod?

The threaded holder for the recovery hook is behind the front license plate on my Rogue. Which means taking off the plate every time I use it.
I use it a lot. It's a great place to strap the front of the odd piece of lumber, my river raft, and my ladder-all of which I use constantly--not to mention the rare (once) use of an actual tow strap to get someone out of an ice pit.

So I hate taking off the license plate to use the strap and wish the front plate had been mounted off-center. Too late now, it's not worth patching the holes that would be left in the bumper if I moved it now.

Anyone else have the same issue? And a clever solutions? Granted, I'm in the .01 percent that ever use the tow hook, I am sure.

glue super strong magnets to your from bumper and to the back of the plate. done

(not on my Rogue but on my 300zx) I made a bracket with a couple hinges and a spring, that allows me to flip up the plate upto 180 degrees.
