I have a new G37 Journey with the premium and navigation packages and I'm reading the (huge) manuals to learn how to use the gadgets. The system will record CDs to the hard disk. I have a big iTunes install with a lot of CDs already ripped into iTunes. I can burn MP3s from iTunes to a CD - but the question is, will the system read these MP3s and load them to the hard disk. That would mean the CD would not have to be ripped and the process should go a lot faster. But, this is not mentioned in the manual. (An equivalent approach would be to put the MP3s on a USB drive and load from there - but that is not mentioned either.)

Does anyone know if it is possible to load the hard drive in this way?

You can always edit the albums/songs once they are in the HD. It's really designed to rip from a new CD.

You cant rip MP3's to the HD. It will only read from a USB stick or CF card.
