Recommended Tire size on '04 Spec V

I just put a set of '04 Spec V Wheels on my '89 hatch. They have 215/45/zr17 on them right now. I want something wider, what do you recommend.

The next step up size wise would be a 225/45-17 which would be fairly tall. With a closer 45mm offset you would be best having a local shop test fit to see what will work without rubbing.
