Recommended tire size for best performance...

I have some kosei 16x7.5 wheels that are really light weight by them selves but im having alot of trouble finding a tire that is also lightweight... I would like to get something that is going to give me the best performance... I do alot of mountain driving and may start doing a little bit of auto x and track things as well... I just got some federal 535 tires that are 205/50/16 and they make the wheels really heavy they weigh around 37 lbs per combo now.. So im trying to see which tire i should go with instead of these ones...

all tires are gonna weigh about the same (around the 20lb area), with maybe a 1-3 lb difference between brands.
