Recommended places to buy RB?

Hey guys, I've been around for a bit, doing research and stuff. Most of the threads on this have been archived or are just really old and the information/websites aren't working that great anymore.

So far I'm pretty sure I may end up buying an engine from jhotimports, but they don't seem to have any in their inventory at the moment.

Anyways, I recently came across a decent amount of money and it's time to by my 240 a new heart, so I was wondering...

Where did you guys get your RBs?I'm looking for an RB25DET.

If anyone had any information or tips to give me while buying/searching I'd appreciate it.

I just need to know:1.) Where most of you guys got yours? (website, etc..)2.) How much did you pay? (Shipping?)3.) Who did you speak with/deal with (Names?)

I'm probably looking to pick up a new engine within a month or so.

i ordered rb25det engine from http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.com yesterday for 800.00 and 151.00 for shipping. That was just for the enginge only, no transmission.

I second what "fast-s14" said! http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.com---- is pretty good company to deal with, couple of my buds have just recently bought from them and got good deals with clean running engines! You should try with a few of the CANADIAN companies.......... shipping deals are great and of course the engines.

I got my motor from japanmotorimport and the motor is pretty reliable. Had no problems except leaking coolant hoses but thats my fault for not changing it. Otherwise it ran strong when it ran lol.

I got mine from Zerolift Autolabs and they are horrible. Motor been in my hands for 3 months and still hasnt started.
