recommended oil weight

Im due for a oil change for my red top sr20det s13, and i was wondering wat weight oil u guyz recommend and is going full synthetic really worth it?

Something like 15W40 is good.

If you switch to full synthetic you need to use flushing oil (0w20).

wat u mean i need to use flushin oil, just to clean out the old oil?

In southern Cali a 50 weight is called for especially in a turbo.A Mobil1 0w-40 or SynPower 5w-40 <may> be substituted in summer if you dont drive real hard.

As a rule of thumb witrh a turbo you always go one class thicker than a non turbo.

Mobil1 15w-50 probaly best choice for you.There are many many threads on this exact subject here, execute a search on oil* if you are still unsure.
