For those who installed a FRONT STRUT TOWER BAR on their S13, does it actually improve handling? If so, what's the recommended supplier? Will any ebay FRONT STRUT TOWER BAR do?

They are all the same. All you pay for is different design and name. I have cusco front and rear on my s14...they do help stiffen the chassis a bit. No worth paying full retail for though...I didn't. Just get the cheapo ebay ones unless you find the name brand ones super cheap like me.

nah i'd pay for the name brand's... you get what you pay for, I learned the hard way... my strut bar snapped while doing hard turns and my car did a 360 and went back to the future!!!!!!!

They are not all the same! Ebay bars are made of cheaper, thinner metal, and have poorly designed endlplates. Not to mention the hinges near the mounts that you can never get tight. I bought a dc sports bar (the dual tube carbon steel one.) It is extremely beefy and has thick and solid end mounts.

It sharpened turning response and steering feel alot.

I am not saying that the ebay bars will not produce and improvement, just that they do not approach the quality or effectiveness of good bars.

i also bought the beefy dc strute tower braces like naed. They do improve handeling, i felt a difference as soon as i put them on. I say go with dc, they are not that expensive and extremly beefy.

I bought a set of Pilot Motorsports strut braces for my 13, and they were great. Had them on for 4 years, never had any problems. I think I paid something like twenty some bones for them through JCW

Crap....I need to find the link to the strut bar rigidity test.

Basicaly, the test showed that the cheap-o eBay bars flex at the plate and at the adjustment screw. I personaly have a Cusco made Nismo strut tower bar. Paid a bit for it (~$200 shipped from JDM...damn CA18 LOL), but it is hella beefy.

I don't even know what brand mine is. I found it hanging up in my uncle's shop and put it on and it's great.

got mine from a parts car that had them on. I figure ebay. They do their job well enough. I'm certainly not paying $200 a bar unless I'm sponsored or have money falling out of my butt, seriously.
